Our passionate instructors share the rich traditions of Irish music through tailored lessons and lively community events. Advanced Irish Music Class
This class is designed for students with at least two years of experience in Irish music and their instrument. It focuses on advanced tunes, arrangements, and group playing, with an emphasis on collaboration and ornamentation. Students will also have the opportunity to learn a second instrument and lead group performances for the school.
Beginner Irish Music Intro Class (ages 7+)
This class is perfect for anyone interested in exploring the world of Irish music, especially absolute beginners. Students will learn traditional Irish songs, try their hand at playing the bodhrán (pizza box bodhrán), and get started with the tin whistle (available for purchase through the school for $15). Join us this semester and begin your exciting journey into the rich tradition of Irish music!
Online Tunes Class (All Ages)
This class is open to anyone looking to expand their tune repertoire and play popular session tunes. Classes are held online via Skype and scheduled on a non-regular basis (class dates are listed above). To sign up or get more information, please email Claire at MiddleTennesseeIrish@gmail.com.
