☘️ Beginner Irish Dance Class
No experience necessary – all dancers are welcome to join! This class is a fun and supportive introduction to Irish dance, focusing on foundational movements, rhythm, and basic steps. Perfect for new dancers of all ages!
First class is free – come give it a try!
☘️ Advanced Beginner Irish Dance Class
This class is for dancers who are comfortable with the basics and are ready to build on their skills. Dancers should already know the Reel, Light Jig, and Slip Jig. In this class, we begin dancing in heavy shoes and introduce basic heavy shoe rhythms and choreography.

Claire Shirey
T.C.R.G.
Claire Shirey is a certified Irish dance teacher (T.C.R.G.) based in Nashville, TN. She earned her teaching credentials in 2023 through An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha and currently teaches at the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance. A former competitive dancer, Claire retired from competition in 2016 but continues to perform and stay active in the Irish dance community. She holds a degree in Communication Studies and a certificate in Music Business from the University of Georgia.
Bayleigh Kilpatrick
Assistant Teacher
Bayleigh Kilpatrick was a competitive Irish dancer until 2015, when she retired to focus on college and a career in music education. After becoming a middle school band director, she moved to Nashville in 2022 and returned to Irish dance with the Scott-Ellis School, competing again and qualifying for the North American Championships within six months. Now retired from competition, she is pursuing certification as an Irish dance teacher through An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha while assisting at the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance.
