Kaelen Korbel started her piano journey when she was eleven. Born in Washington State to a Navy family she grew up between Washington, North Carolina, before finally moving to Kentucky with her family. Starting her performance journey with competitive Irish Dance at five years old she recently made the switch into full-time music winning first place in both 15 – 18 piano and duet categories at the 2024 Chicago Fleadh.
Kaelen is currently a student at the Nashville Irish Music School playing in the Ceile band and a founding member of the up-and-coming traditional Irish band The Little Beggarmen. Currently under the tutelage of John Williams for piano and Lauren Saks for violin Kaelen is working on broadening her musical arsenal. She also plays the fiddle and piano accordion and is working on picking up the mandolin and harp, and can be found playing the tin whistle and bodhrán on occasion. In addition to instrumentation she’s taking classes at SKYCTSC in Bowling Green, KY en route to becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant.
